This is no small Compute Infrastructure. Our Data Centers have more than 20,000 servers and 1,000 core network devices with multi-vendor presence across all platforms. Our Data Center Systems Infrastructure team specializes in process improvement, automation and standardization while working directly with Hardware and Infrastructure engineering teams. We are looking for you to have immediate impact on efficiency gains within our operation as well as elevate the team members to new heights in their careers.

We'll trust you to:

• Develop and maintain products to automate and streamline Bloomberg's Compute Lifecycle
• Inspire and motivate a high-performing team, leading by example while supporting individual growth and development
• Develop technical solutions which combine hardware and software to achieve required service levels, performance, and economics while managing stakeholder expectations
• Develop relationships by collaborating on new technologies as well as processes- Standardize and reduce complexity of compute builds
• Work with compute vendors to manage problem escalation
• Build out event handling workflows and orchestration for operations problems

You need to have:

• BS in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent experience
• Experience standardizing operations across wide spread departments
• 5+ years of experience developing infrastructure software using Python/C/C++/Go- 3+ years of experience managing teams responsible for production systems using automation and software
• 3+ years of experience with Linux (RHEL/Ubuntu, etc…)
• Experience managing Baseboard Management Console(iLo, idrac, AST 2x00) configuration
• Experience working with orchestration, SaltStack preferred
• Knowledge of Layer 2 network concepts
