We are looking for an experienced reporter to cover European luxury-goods and consumer companies from Paris. You will own coverage on some of the world's best-known brands, from Louis Vuitton to Armani, Prada and L'Oreal.

We'll trust you to:

• Break news as well as produce timely features, trend pieces and profiles of the biggest newsmakers
• Handle interviews with CEOs and designers as well as deadlines on breaking news for earnings or mergers
• Build contacts in the industry
• Contribute to a range of platforms
• Be a team player with colleagues in Paris and around the world

You need to have:

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
• Previous journalism experience
• Strong news judgment and a proven ability to break news
• An commitment to accuracy
• A proven ability to write bigger-picture stories
• A strong work ethic and ability to work well within teams
• Strong French and/or Italian language skills (fluency preferred)

We'd love to see:

• Experience of working in a real-time news environment
• A knowledge of the European luxury goods industry
• Previous business reporting experience at a major newspaper or wire service
