Bloomberg Law is dependent upon our analysts to continue improving our product and ensuring the quality and accuracy of our data. We are seeking talented, enthusiastic and innovative candidates who possess a unique combination of analytical proficiency, technical skills and resourcefulness to join the Caselaw team.

As a member of the Caselaw team you will manage the collection and transformation of court opinions on Bloomberg Law. You’ll also be responsible for ensuring the quality of the content and helping to discover new and better ways of improving the efficiency of our operations. You will work with our business partners to ensure the data produced is timely and meets our clients’ expectations. You will explore new data management strategies and technologies to keep moving the product forward.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor’s degree required or equivalent work experience.
  • 2+ years of experience in data analysis and/or project management.
  • Strong analytical, written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability with mark-up languages (XML, SGML, JSON and/or HTML) and XPath.
  • Practical experience with XSLT and JavaScript or a similar scripting language.

We would like to see:

  • A degree or significant coursework in Management Information Systems, Computer Science, or equivalent technical work experience.
  • Experience using Excel, Python or R for data analysis.
  • Some exposure to or prior experience in the legal data or legal professional space.

  • Work legally in the US without visa sponsorship now or in the future
