Bloomberg runs on data and technology. At Data Industry Group (Data-INDG), we’re responsible for on-boarding, analyzing, enhancing, and supplying legal, tax, & government data to help answer our clients’ questions. We handle large sets of data, as well as the extraction, transformation, & loading (ETL) workflow processes that drive the BLAW, BTAX, & BGOV products. By providing notification of amendments to existing laws, or enactment of new laws that will affect business compliance, we allow our clients to participate in the process, and be proactive in legislative & regulatory change. Monitoring & provision of legislative & administrative data across all federal & state jurisdictions allows our users to identify & supervise trends, locally & nationally.
Our diverse team hosts a variety of technical skills, analytical minds, subject-matter expertise, & ambitious spirits. We are looking for people with passion to learn, innovate, teach, & build. We do our best work together – and we hope that you’ll join us.
What’s the role:
As a member of the Core Content team, you’ll play a key role in acquiring, analyzing, redefining, contributing, and facilitating the publication of legal content & data that empowers end clients to make the right decisions. Applying your technical abilities and Bloomberg’s techstack, you’ll assist in the creation & maintenance of our data workflow processes. You will receive both classroom and on the job training to put you on a path to demonstrate your subject-matter expertise & technical acumen, as well as your intellectual curiosity.
Data Professionals (or Specialists) within Data-INDG work closely with stakeholders to help them understand both federal & individual state lawmaking processes, researching enhancements to our existing client offerings, while also supervising federal & state sources to identify changes that will affect our data. You will have the opportunity to function as a subject matter authority in all areas of the law, providing the legal insights our customers require.
You will work with our business partners to ensure our data meets the high quality standards our clients expect, providing timely and accurate analytics. You will also have the unique opportunity to partner with engineering and machine learning experts in order to explore new technologies with an eye towards innovation and evolution of the product. You’ll benefit from Bloomberg's dynamic and collaborative environment and contribute to creating new solutions for legal, tax, accounting, & government professionals. We’ll invest in you, and coupled with our individualized approach to career development, we will help you expand your skills and opportunities.
