Bloomberg Travel & Expense Engineering team has a great opportunity to build a new Travel & Expense system to replace our legacy system that allows our employees to manage their business related expenses and reimbursements. The system involves gathering data from various vendors like American Express, MasterCard, etc. and processing them to automate the expense filing based on rules and heuristics to make it easier for our employees to file their expenses. In addition, there are tools to enable smooth accounting process as well as management reporting.

You’ll be working with a team of enthusiastic technologists, and will be given a unique opportunity to design and implement a user friendly application that requires handle complex business logic. We work closely with our business and product owners, and you’ll have the chance to influence the product's technical direction with your creative solutions.

You’ll need to have:

• 3+ years of experience working extensively with either Python or PostgreSQL
• 3+ years of experience working with any relational database
• Ability to work with Product and Engineering teams and be able to influence the product/technical design and architecture
• Experience in all phases of Agile SDLC
• Experience with test-driven development. Unit Testing frameworks like unittest, autotest, py.test, etc.
• Good problem solving skills
• Ability to learn additional technologies quickly and be able to use them for implementation
