The Business Intelligence team is looking for a proven senior engineer to join its team! Our fast-growing, diverse team of engineers is responsible for building scalable ingestion systems which handle and prepare petabytes of data for reporting, dashboards, and advanced analytics. Bloomberg runs on data. Our data captures the who, what, when, where and why of how our clients use Bloomberg products and our Product teams rely on those insights to drive adoption and usage.

Bloomberg runs on data. As the Data Management & Analytics team within Engineering, we support our organization’s needs around managing data efficiently. The vision of the team is to build solutions that drive data quality, data dictionary, data stewardship, data lineage, reference, and master data management across various data domains (prospect, customer, vendor, material etc.). We partner with business teams across the organization in addressing their data needs and ultimately helping run business operations efficiently and make improved decisions. 

You will:

• Work closely with the Data Management team to build solutions that will have a companywide impact
• Collaborate with cross functional teams and vendors to enhance and ingest data from internal and external sources
• Translate business requirements into robust and scalable data pipelines for key business metrics
• Use technologies such as Informatica Data Quality, Python, D&B and 3rd party reference data sources, Kafka and more

Need to have experience:

• 3+ years of experience with Python, Informatica Data Quality, PowerCenter in developing data management and data enrichment solutions
• Hands on expertise understanding and working with D&B (Dun and Bradstreet), Maxmind, BvD, Lexis Nexis 3rd party reference data sources and integrating them with IDQ
• Developing REST APIs to integrate 3rd party reference data sources
• Experience building data integration pipelines, data cleansing, standardization, verification, matching and data quality exception monitoring and handling
• Advanced SQL capabilities are required. Strong understanding of data modeling, database design, and ETL processing is required.
• BA, BS, MS, PhD in Computer Science, Engineering or related technology field

Nice to have:

• Building compliance and sanctions data products
• Familiarity with Scheduling tools (Tidal, Airflow, Argo)
• Specific expertise in Informatica Axon and EDC is a plus.
• Knowledge of streaming technologies like Kafka, Rabbit MQ
• Knowledge of business intelligence reporting tools such as Qlik Sense, Tableau, Power BI, Cognos
