The Team:

The Integration & Support team in the Global Data Technical Operations department conducts functional testing of the tools and technologies used by analysts for data processing and performs incident management whenever an issue arises. The team’s primary goal is to prevent bugs from being released into production through regular and rigorous software testing, increasing using automated methods. However, when issues occur, the team is equally as diligent to resolve them in a timely manner by collaborating with colleagues in Technical Operations or Engineering as needed. In addition, the team performs root cause analysis for all major outages in order to identify and implement preventative measures. By providing transparency into patterns and trends the team plays a key role in improving the business unit’s processes and procedures, change management, or development standards.

We will trust you to:

  • Execute and evolve the software testing process from planning and preparation to execution and reporting
  • Develop and maintain efficient test cases that cover all functional requirements and force defects to appear
  • Help determine if features and functionality are “done” by performing rigorous testing and providing feedback on the UI/UX
  • Relate performance testing to the development process and provide insight to decision makers
  • Identify opportunities to automate testing using a variety of tools and techniques
  • Investigate, triage, and troubleshoot software defects if they occur after deployment
  • Facilitate communication during major outages and provide ongoing status updates to stakeholders
  • Conduct root cause analysis and create action plans to mitigate future incidents

You’ll need to have:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, or a Technology related field
  • Proficiency with python and/or JavaScript, and SQL server
  • Experience with automated testing solutions, ideally Selenium or Puppeteer
  • Proven problem solving skills
  • Excellent customer service skills and client relationship building skills
  • Experience delivering with tight deadlines and ability to work under pressure
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to independently drive initiatives based on insights from data
  • Ability to quickly embrace and master new technologies and put them in to practice
  • Commitment to continual education about technology and our tech stack components and services

We’d love to see:

  • 2-5 years of experience with data processing
  • Proficiency with proprietary Bloomberg LP Global Data tools and technology
  • Familiarity with Agile development methodologies, specifically SCRUM
