Bloomberg's Trading Connectivity provides solutions to access exchanges and other trading venues across the globe. We are a team of bold and energetic engineers and our contributions make a direct impact on the product for global markets. Bloomberg Trading Systems leverages the offerings of the Trading Connectivity on a daily basis to reach over 135+ destinations globally.

The Trading Connectivity team develops and maintains connectivity with a goal of providing high capacity, low latency and resilient products, and we are constantly adding more destinations across various asset classes and workflows.

We are currently seeking a passionate and high performance developer to seize a unique opportunity to gain expertise in electronic trading systems development.

We'll trust you to:

  • Play an active role in all stages of the software development lifecycle, from analysis and design, implementation, to testing and rollout to customers
  • Implement low-latency, high capacity and error-free connectivity
  • Develop tools to optimize the project development lifecycle

You need to have:

  • Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or equivalent
  • 5+ years of experience with C/C++ in a LINUX or Solaris environment
  • Experience with TCP/IP, socket-level programming, low-latency middleware, STL, Boost, multi-threaded programming
  • Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
  • Self-motivated, strong teamwork skills, and ability to work without close supervision

We’d love to see:

  • Familiarity with Jenkins
  • Electronic trading industry experience
  • Solid business understanding of electronic markets, trading, and financial instruments
  • Experience with Agile development
