This is no small Compute Infrastructure. Our data centers have more than 20,000 servers and 1,000 core network devices with multi-vendor presence across all platforms. As a consultant on our team, you will participate in the lifecycle management of the hardware in our production data centers. You will work to complete moves, adds, and changes, as well as triage a variety of hardware problems. You are a self-motivated individual demonstrating strong interpersonal skills and the ability to thrive in a team-centered culture.

Job Shifts:

• First shift (day), second shift (afternoon), third shift (night), weekend shifts
• We can work with each candidate to find a suitable shift depending on the workload and business needs

• Handle data center detail work including equipment examination and document review
• Troubleshoot hardware problems across a variety of vendor and technology platforms
• Install, configure, and upgrade servers across this multi-vendor environment

You'll need to have:

• Experience with Linux/UNIX-based operating systems
• Proven experience managing multiple projects, meeting deadlines, and juggling schedules to accommodate business needs
• A working knowledge of IT technologies including server, network routers and switches, and SAN storage
• The desire to grow, contribute, and support our customers globally
• Excellent written and communication skills
• The ability to perform physical activities including walking, lifting, and climbing a ladder
• Flexibility on work location and the ability to work in Middlesex County, NJ or Rockland County, NY as needed

We’d love to see:

• Experience programming or scripting in Perl, Python, C, or C++
• Familiarity with Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban
• Operational experience in a production data center environment
• A working knowledge of Splunk solutions
• Experience with Linux, Ubuntu, and Windows operating systems, comfortable navigating the CLI
• Networking experience with sound knowledge of Cisco IOS and JunOS
