What's the role?

You’ll be responsible for leading and driving sales of a San Francisco based, Enterprise Buy-Side Account Management team, focused on driving value and providing market leading solutions to our customers. Under your guidance the team is responsible for business expansion, client engagement and service, and partnering with clients to help achieve business goals by realizing value through our technology solutions!

As a Team Leader we'll trust you to:

  • Develop and manage the Enterprise sales strategy for AIM, PORT & Risk to increase revenue, usage and adoption opportunities with your client base.
  • Exemplify Enterprise/Value Selling approach with the need to understand the connections between AIM, PORT & Risk and other Bloomberg solutions to bring the total solution to our clients
  • Clear and transparent pipeline management
  • Collaborate closely with other offices and teams to drive projects and maintain a cross-regional operation
  • Set Expectations and hold team members accountable in order to drive results
  • Develop each team member's knowledge, skills, and talents through careful coaching and constructive feedback, establishing the foundation for a successful career at BBG
  • Be hands-on. Work side by side with your team and empower, instill trust and encourage your team's learning and development
  • Initiate, build and drive relationships across client organizations to ensure that all partners are managed appropriately as part of the sales process
  • Work hard and be accessible, responsive and approachable Leaders at Bloomberg embody the agility and uniqueness that makes Bloomberg such a dynamic company, to qualify you'll need to have:
  • A highly successful sales track record
  • Client facing, strong people management, and effective communication skills
  • Deep understanding of the buy-side and the broader financial markets
  • Prior leadership experience and/or experience within the Buy-Side
  • Desire to dig deep into client work-flows
  • Demonstrated the ability to build and maintain strategic internal partnerships across departments
  • A keen desire to lead and mentor people in sales
  • A good understanding of performance management and how to motivate and inspire people
  • Ability to travel (at least 50% travel required)

During the interview process we would love to hear about:

  • Your experience in sales where you have met or exceeded demanding targets
  • Your strong presentation and communication skills and a desire to lead
  • Your ability to manage your time effectively, multi-task and work well under pressure in a team environment
  • Your prior experience in coaching and people management
  • Your Enterprise Selling exposure
  • Your business plan for the region and thoughts on business growth, client retention, talent management

At a minimum, we require that you:

  • 2 years of prior leadership experience and/or 2 years of experience within Buy-Side sales
