The Portfolio Buy-Side Implementation team is responsible for the full implementation of customers that will use Bloomberg’s Portfolio and Risk solution, PORT. Main responsibilities will include Pre-Sales engagement, Data Ingestion Set-up, Workflow Configuration, and Analytics Reconciliation. PORT Enterprise implementations require detailed project plan creation, regular partner meetings and in-person client training. Individuals on the team will be required to be well versed in multi-asset classes, have a technical understanding of dataflow, and will be required to have strong project management skills. You will need strong relationship management skills and possess advanced product knowledge of PORT and indices as well as an in-depth knowledge of fixed income and derivatives. This is an implementation role and could require regular travel to support clients across the Americas region. You will use your strong project management capabilities to coordinate all aspects of the on-boarding process, including working with the PORT and Core Sales teams, understanding the client workflow, providing in-depth trainings and assisting clients in reconciling data.

You’ll need to have:

  • Strong analytical skills to evaluate problems and provide solutions
  • Understanding of workflows used by portfolio managers, risk and attribution specialists
  • Excellent communicative skills, both verbal and written
  • Minimum 3-5 years of experience working in Buy Side financial institutions or alternatively, experience in financial engineering/structuring.
  • The ability to effectively communicate technical/complex issues in a simplistic manner to various audiences
  • A deep understanding of PORT functionality
  • Knowledge of fixed income, equities and derivatives
  • Strong communication skills in order to interact with clients and team members
  • Experience communicating with Engineering groups on extremely complicated and complex topics
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Experience leading cross-departmental projects with tight deadlines
  • Experience conducting trainings both internally / externally
  • Track record of meeting deadlines and setting priorities

We would love to see:

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree and CFA
