Within minutes, your remote troubleshooting skills have got her back up and working. As a Field Operations Technician and Engineer you thrive juggling tasks, re-prioritizing on a dime and thinking on your feet, seamless projecting a professional yet friendly attitude.

Our Team:

Our Global Field Operations teams work with urgency to provide 24/7 on-site technical solutions to Bloomberg’s clients in more than 75 countries. Our clients rely on our technology and the support that we provide to be able to do their jobs in a dynamic, highly-demanding, technology-focused environment. The team are all highly-skilled specialists who are able to assist them with all Bloomberg hardware (PCs, biometric devices, routers), software, and networking infrastructure. Providing a one-stop shop of onsite support and not leaving until the job is done.

We operate as Technical Account Managers when we are on site and make valuable contributions to our clients because of our expertise within Bloomberg working closely with other Bloomberg Technical Operations teams. We pride ourselves in offering top notch customer solution focused service by being able to understand and pre-empt client needs as well as deliver personal, on-the-ground value and assistance spotting gaps and implementing changes.

The Role:

We are seeking a personable field operations technician who loves to dabble in programming. This is a rare and multi-faceted role where you will be part of our Technical Operations Global developer team as well as provide support and onsite coverage for our clients scattered across Seattle and the North Western Region of the United States.

You’ll need to have:

• Experience with Windows OS, Android/IOS, Desktop Support
• Programming experience in SQL, JavaScript, C#, HTML, CSS
• Knowledge of the network stack such as routers, switches, firewall, and LAN/WAN technologies
• Working knowledge of standard methodologies and IT operations in an always-up, always available service
• Professional customer-facing experience in a fast -paced team environment

We would love to see:

• Degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Web Server Administration, particularly IIS, Windows Server 2012, or Security and Authentication
• Proven experience in web programming with live example sites or code
