We're looking for a China Financial Services Reporter in Shanghai to chronicle the evolution of one of the world's biggest securities markets, just as China becomes more deeply integrated with the global financial system. You'll cover everything from stock exchanges to regulation and its impact on financial markets and their participants, helping the world make sense of the myriad changes. You'll be at home breaking market-moving news as well as writing compelling enterprise, bringing to bear a broad range of contacts and sources.

This is a role for a self-starter, a passionate teammate, someone willing to work hard to own a broad, complicated and crucial beat. You'll be comfortable working with a remote manager, have strong communication skills and be adept at collaborating closely with your peers to get the job done.

You'll need to have:

• At least five years of reporting experience
• A track record of getting scoops and/or writing agenda-setting features
• Fluency in Mandarin and English, with highly developed writing skills in English
• University degree or equivalent

We'd love to see:

• Experience working at a newswire and/or international publication
