Our work gives trading and investment professionals insight into the state of industries and markets, and where they may be heading next.
As an experienced editor who thrives under real-time deadline pressure, you will edit research that is creative and insightful, while being accessible to the general reader. You’ll have an ability to translate jargon and complex discussions into clear language.
We'll trust you to:
- Edit and publish research under deadline pressure
- Edit copy to Bloomberg style while helping ensure accuracy and compliance
- Help maintain the quality of our coverage across a wide range of research on topics including companies, policy, litigation, markets, strategy and credit.
- Collaborate across Bloomberg Intelligence and Bloomberg News teams
- Be able to adjust to role changes
You need to have:
- A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Extensive editing experience at a financial news outlet or in the financial services industry
- Familiarity with equity or credit research, or experience in financial news
- Outstanding written communication skills
- Experience working with analysts or with financial journalists
- Some experience on working with writers communicating in English as a second language
- The ability to collaborate with a wide range of personalities, and to keep calm while under deadline pressure
We'd love to see:
- Experience editing for a major wire service
- Experience editing online content
- Familiarity with the Bloomberg system
- Good oral communication and presentation skills
