Bloomberg Connectivity and Integration Services (CIS) is a USD 40Mn/year recurring revenue global group. Using our proprietary middleware (GNET) and professional services, we help our clients connect and integrate to any part of Bloomberg. There are currently over 50 business units of Bloomberg that provide connectivity in/out to clients. Each feed or interface Bloomberg provides puts a technology burden on our clients. They must either devote internal resources and hardware to ‘code up’ to Bloomberg protocols or outsource. Clients have moved toward outsourcing this responsibility to consultants or technology partners who can build, maintain and service integration for the long haul.
We endeavor to be this kind of technology partner. While much of our integration for clients involves our AIM and TOMS products, we have been providing seamless integration of any feed provided by any part of Bloomberg. Our services not only produce a real revenue stream for Bloomberg, they also help protect and build our other franchises. Most importantly, our service helps client lower their true technology TCO.

What's the role?

Our group in APAC is looking to hire a seasoned sales professional for a newly created Team Leader role based in either Hong Kong or Singapore reporting to the APAC regional manager. The CIS APAC region currently has a base of approximately 150 firms who already license our services and products. Our business has grown and matured to the point where we need a motivated, results oriented sales team leader to manage approximately four sales specialists who sell our solutions to clients throughout the Asia region. In addition to being responsible for regional sales targets, this position would also include its own ‘territory’ and individual sales metrics. We interface with all parts of Bloomberg, so building internal relationships and being a sales advocate for CIS throughout Bloomberg is key.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Own strategy, execution, people development and management
  • Motivate sales specialists to perform at the peak of their potential and create a positive team spirit
  • Coach and develop the team giving clear, constructive and actionable feedback
  • Manage CIS sales engagement smoothly from beginning to end
  • Leverage market, product and technical expertise to identify client needs
  • Establish and execute a pipeline target market strategy for CIS’s regional sales target
  • Partner with Account Management in our buy-side and sell-side businesses to close new business with our existing client base and prospecting new clients
  • Collaborate with the CIS and non-CIS Business Management groups to develop the Integration value proposition by gathering and collating market and customer intelligence
  • Develop and manage key customer relationships with decision makers and key people with influence to maximize sales opportunities
  • Achieve sales targets and metrics in both individual and collaborative sales
  • Coordinate the full enterprise sales process from identifying leads to closing them
  • Respond to RFP's, building Statements of Work (SOW) and create formal sales proposals
  • Understand key competitors or alternatives and successfully positioning our products advantages

You’ll need to have:

  • Exposure to Fixed Income and Derivatives Trading Workflows
  • Ability to manage people with proven leadership experience a plus
  • Comfortable with being responsible for individual and regional sales targets, building both individuals and team pipelines
  • A self-starter with experience with setting and executing on sales strategies
  • Organized with tracking sales, prospects and conversations
  • Expertise in motivating and inspiring a team of sales professionals
  • Competence in building internal relationships and partnerships
  • Ability to build high level client relationships to drive both tactical and strategic technology agendas
  • Willingness to travel
  • Exposure to Fixed Income and Derivatives Trading Workflows

We’d love to see:

  • Understanding of Financial Market technologies and interfaces (such as FIX, MQ, flat files, SFTP
  • Experience with Middleware, ETL Tools or Integration Solutions
