Ensuring that our employees are equipped with the right knowledge and skills about our business, products and how that fits into the wider Financial Services market, falls to our Financial Products Knowledge Group. They are responsible for building and delivering thoughtful programs that support the execution of Bloomberg strategy across Financial Products, and helps to give us a competitive edge.

This role, reporting to the Regional Leader, will be responsible for all matters related to developing and maintaining the skills and knowledge necessary to the success of our Bloomberg Financial Products employees in the region. This includes handling key relationships with senior managers to ensure the curriculum, content design and delivery align with key metrics and business initiatives. The role also includes working directly with all representatives throughout sales to educate, facilitate and coach around skill sets and knowledge that are essential to their success in this department.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Design and define strategic training programs that are aligned with the department strategy and have clear business goals
  • Understand and incorporate industry, competitive and market trends in class design
  • Propose solutions that can be implemented by the business and adapted to changes in business strategy
  • Be a trusted adviser to the business
  • Use methods that make learning memorable
  • Establish systems of accountability to measure application of content learnt
  • Provide job aids to support performance
  • Track business impact related to training
  • Use insights from surveys to drive continuous improvement
  • Go above and beyond to drive operational efficiency
  • Work hard and be accessible, responsive and approachable

You’ll need to have:

  • A deep understanding of buyside or sellside technology trends
  • A strong understanding of Bloomberg’s technology stack and how it works, i.e. how an OMS connects with an EMS
  • An acute awareness of current buyside or sellside industry in financial markets, and how this could affect Bloomberg commercially
  • A drive to both gain and share knowledge, experience of sharing knowledge either in a classroom or one-to-one coaching environment would be a strong advantage
  • The ability to be able to solve unstructured problems
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong relationships at all levels
  • Strong presentation and communication skills, both verbal and written English
  • A laser focus on execution and change management, with a ‘make it happen’ personality
  • The ability to handle your time effectively, multi-task and work well in a pressurized team environment
  • A relentless desire for continued learning

We’d love to see:

  • Previous experience building and leading sales trainings
  • Experience with Bloomberg Buyside or Sellside solutions like order management, portfolio management or risk management or other
