The Role:

Bloomberg is looking for a talented individual to lead our APAC HR Shared Services team in Singapore or Hong Kong. The successful candidate will manage a team of HR professionals responsible for delivering end to end HR processes to managers and employees, providing consultation to employees on topics that cover a full range of HR-related programs and policies, as well as assisting employees in navigating Workday. The HR Shared Services TL will play a crucial role partnering with HR COEs to ensure successful administration of all HR programs as well as partner with global counter parts to advance the global service delivery model. Successful candidates will use our internal ticketing system and Workday to monitor workflows and ensure all processes are delivered to meet defined SLAs. Additionally this individual will be tasked with identifying trends in business requests and adjust service models as needed. This individual will also be responsible for reviewing process administration and implementing efficiencies and enhancements as required.

The Responsibilities:

  • Ensure an excellent customer experience measured through quality monitoring - monitor SLAs and make changes where needed
  • Identify opportunities for efficiency or improvement
  • Manage team members and scheduling models for guaranteed coverage while ensuring customer satisfaction
  • Develop, lead and motivate the team through coaching; influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work
  • Further develop cross-functional partnership with internal and external HR business partners
  • As a subject matter expert may assist with creating/presenting education and/or training relating to changes in policies or procedures, projects, software enhancements, etc.
  • Mitigate risk
  • Handle sensitive data with discretion
  • Act as regional escalation point for all shared services issues across a variety of countries
  • Run scheduled audits to ensure process completion especially where downstream systems are impacted
  • Monitor workflow dashboards to identify areas of risk or intervention

The Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of HR, shared services or call center experience
  • 1-2 years supervisory experience - in a shared services environment preferred
  • People management skills and experience having difficult conversations and delivering feedback
  • Experience as HR practitioner preferred and ability to build relationships and influence within and outside of HR
  • Experience working with enterprise HR systems (Workday) preferred
  • Experience in quality assurance, call monitoring, incident management
  • Knowledge of HR policies, procedures and best practices particularly in a central service-delivery model
  • Ability to handle confidential information professionally and appropriately
  • Ability to multi-task with strong organizational and analytical skills necessary
  • Mandarin or Japanese language skills a plus
