The Opportunity

The Asia Pacific Financial Product Marketing team is looking for a highly motivated Marketing Manager for ASEAN and ANZ coverage. He/she will define, develop and execute marketing plans that build awareness, generate leads and nurture existing client relationships for Bloomberg’s financial products (www.bloomberg.com/professional/), and lead all branding and marketing support initiatives in the region.

In this marketing role, you will be based in Singapore and will be part of the South Asia Financial Product Marketing team. You will work with business partners and internal marketing stakeholders, including our in-house agency locally and globally to build strategic and effective programs and manage execution to the highest standards.

We’ll trust you to:

You work as a team with the APAC marketers, event managers and the digital & content team to define the marketing strategy and execute the marketing plans to support local sales and product leaders in the region. This is an individual contributor role reporting to a South Asia Marketing team leader, you will be personally responsible for a number of marketing programs to support regional partners, including strategic lead-generation and awareness programs for ASEAN and ANZ, with the help of a local team of event planners and in-house agency. You should be a highly motivated professional who is detail-oriented, self-organized, and proactive in coordinating and leading marketing activities from every angle to achieve maximum results for the region.

A key responsibility of the job will be to understand and become an advocate for the Bloomberg brand and ensure that all marketing activities undertaken on behalf of a specific solution/audience group are aligned with and support the overall brand. The individual will assist with the implementation of the Bloomberg brand's unique marketing programs through proprietary events, direct marketing and social media efforts. You will need to lead the development of digital, print and social media marketing assets, as well as the production of premiums.

You will have an adequate understanding of the financial services market, strong project and program management skills, team management and leadership skills, experience in working in a global marketing group, excellent written and verbal communication skills English and a drive to promote one of the world’s iconic brands.

The role requires the person to actively lead and participate in global conference calls with both New York and London – requiring flexibility to attend sporadic morning and evening calls.

You’ll need to have:

  • At least 8 years of successful track record in B to B marketing
  • Experience in developing marketing plans and coordinating execution with other marketing teams
  • Experience in working remotely– with direct and dotted-lined reporting structures
  • Experience in managing digital campaigns and tracking metrics
  • Strong project management skills and attention to detail
  • Experience in creating marketing collateral, both traditional and digital
  • Entrepreneurial mind-set and an ability to adapt and learn a new market
  • Ability to drive lead generation and campaign management
  • Ability to multi-task in a time-pressured environment
  • Ability to successfully partner with Heads of Sales, Product, and creative agencies
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Fluency in English or any other Asian language would be an advantage
  • Flexibility to travel
