BLAW is a dynamic group that produces and maintains various legal data collections and products that form the backbone of bloomberglaw.com and legal content on the Bloomberg Professional.

The Citator team maintains, updates, and analyzes primary and secondary source materials. In this role, you will analyze court opinions and track the progression of cases through the legal system. You will analyze legal data and identify opportunities for maintenance and enhancements.

Our clients include attorneys, law firms, government, law librarians, paralegals, judges and law students. We have a diverse team consisting of legal professionals with various experiences, including those who have transitioned from traditional legal careers, those who have completed clerkships, as well those who decided to begin their careers in an alternative role.

You will need to have:

  • Graduated with a Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Passed a state Bar examination and either have been admitted, or be pending admission.
  • Professional work experience in the legal field. Ideal candidates will have 1 to 3 years of professional work experience, including a judicial clerkship or extensive legal research and problem-solving experience.
  • Working knowledge of state and federal court structure and citation formats.
  • Familiarity with online legal research tools. Experience with the BLAW product is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel.
