Bloomberg runs on data. In the Global Data team, we're responsible for supplying it - which also means we solve problems. On any given day, we identify ways we can make the company's processes and software more efficient. We help Bloomberg's prestigious help desk answer complex client questions. Isolating, collecting, and processing billions of data points are what we do best.

The team:

We provide top level and front line technical support to our clients. We work to troubleshoot issues from inception to resolution. Our exemplary customer service means that we handle and support partnerships with new and existing research providers to set up, maintain, upgrade and train users on distribution feeds all whilst working to address bespoke requirements.

On top of the project assistance, you will be required to monitor, maintain and work on daily tasks for multi-asset classes including commodities, FX, money markets and fixed income. Assisting clients with Bloomberg data feed and training is required on-site or over the phone.

What's the role?

You are a dynamic individual who will support data acquisition projects to on-board OTC pricing for our clients using our Bloomberg terminal, Bloomberg news and Bloomberg ancillary products to ensure data on Bloomberg platform is accurate and up to market standard.

You're the type of person who has a real passion for taking raw numbers and turning them into actionable insights for the world's business and financial decision makers. Your friends all know you as the one with a true interest in technology, and who loves nothing more than spotting ways to improve a process. You have a natural eye for detail, an interest in the financial markets. More so, should you love dealing with people, thrive in a team environment and be someone who knows what customer service really means, we would love to have that initial conversation with you.

  • Monitor and maintain existing data content and technology
  • Maintain and enhance existing database to ensure data integrity
  • Manage internal/external requests efficiently to support a time-sensitive market
  • Be able to make/receive calls to data contributors to troubleshoot data feed
  • Support existing data contributors and building relationship
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment

We'd love you to have:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience
  • Fluency in English
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Previous experience in a client facing / customer service role
  • Organized and have the ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to work in a close team environment as well as independently
  • Technical and financial interest and aptitude
  • Keen interest in financial markets
  • Knowledge of basic programming and /or VBA macros will be preferred
