Our Team:

Our Global Information Systems Group (Infosys) is responsible for designing, deploying, and supporting Bloomberg’s internal IT systems, including our global corporate network, and the hardware and software to support nearly 19,000 employees in more than 170 offices around the world. We are also responsible for the audiovisual technology in all of Bloomberg’s public spaces (including training and conference rooms), that host more than 500,000 visitors to Bloomberg offices each year.

Our employees rely on the technology solutions and support Infosys deliver to do their jobs in a dynamic, highly demanding, technology focused environment. We are a close-knit, hardworking team organized into 7 groups: Service Desk, Desktop Technicians, System Administrators, Infrastructure, Audiovisual, Corporate Security, and Mobile Technology. Each of these groups develop, deploy and rely upon a complex set of proprietary and third-party systems to deliver the services we provide, and those systems are the key to understanding where we are doing our jobs well, and where we need to improve.

For example, our employees generate more than 320,000 service requests each year through a ticketing system that drives both human and automated services -- from software download to a Desktop dispatch. We handle approximately 400+ software titles, as well as monitor and implement security for the entire corporate network that consists of 28,000 PCs, 50,000 screen displays and 120,000 network connections.

The Bloomberg Audiovisual team and technologies touch every business unit and every service offering. It is the primary resource utilized to facilitate real time, face to face communication and enables work-from-home / remote location collaboration. AV is utilized everywhere and will need to be accessible anywhere. We connect decision makers with information and enable business to happen anywhere.

Our service offerings fall into five distinct categories: Event Technology, UC Collaboration, AV Infrastructure, AV Design / Build Management, and Digital Signage.

We’ll trust you to:

  • Work in a dynamic, multi-faceted environment involving digital signage, live events, video conferencing, training room management and day to day conference room support
  • Manage and troubleshoot complex audio, video and control systems
  • Plan and execute live events from audiovisual perspective

You’ll need to have:

  • Experience in operating/commissioning of Audiovisual systems
  • Demonstrable experience in operating all aspects of live event support, including but not limited to audio and video switching systems, lighting control systems, presentation playback and control systems
  • Ability to deliver excellent customer service, including to C-Suite executives, under any and all circumstances
  • AMX & Crestron experience
  • Strong technical/troubleshooting skills
  • Strong computer skills (PC, Mac, Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, Power Point)
  • Ability to setup, test, calibrate and commission equipment and devices as required to build a fully functional AV system, including video displays, display systems, screens, cameras, switchers, scalers, processors, transmitters, receivers, interfaces, microphones, mixers, amplifiers, controls, and other active and passive devices
  • Ability to make high pressure decisions on the fly
  • Willingness to work closely as a member of a team
  • Self-starter and self-motivated mentality
  • Willingness to learn in a fast-paced environment
  • Flexibility with working hours and traveling

We’d love to see:

  • InfoComm CTS certification, CTS-I
  • Fluency in Japanese language
  • Detailed support experience with OS, IOS, Windows, Android, and Blackberry
  • Detailed experience with BlackMagic, Allen and Heath, Purelink, Codian, Call Manager, VCSc, VCSe and Vidyo
  • Audio DSP platform certifications (Examples: Biamp, ClearOne, Polycom)
  • Video processing platform certification (Examples: Extron, Jupiter, Christie)
  • 1 Control system platform certification (Examples: AMX, Crestron, Extron)
  • Complete working knowledge of today's AV & VTC technology
