With more than 100 economics reporters and 25 economists worldwide, Bloomberg Economics has an unrivaled capacity to explain where the global economy is and where it is heading. Bloomberg Economics is now looking for an experienced journalist to join our team in Tokyo.

The editing role involves working with reporters in Japan and Korea to help shape coverage across Bloomberg's terminal, print, radio and television platforms. Collaboration with various teams of journalists and economists in Asia and across the world is essential to meld detailed on-the-ground insights with global context.

With the twists and turns in the Bank of Japan's stimulus program and Abenomics moving global markets and Korea's global economic importance growing, this high-profile role offers the successful applicant a chance to make a mark on one of the world's biggest stories.

You'll need to have:

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Financial journalism experience with proven ability to shape coverage and work effectively with others to do so
  • Excellent editing skills- Experience of working in a real-time environment
  • Fluency in both English and Japanese
