As the primary technical interface into Bloomberg for key clients across the market, you will serve as a trusted adviser to our clients, providing input and guidance as they make major technical and strategic decisions. You will form deep, lasting relationships with our clients from senior leadership onward, ensuring you are the technology and data partner they turn to first to advance their business. Through a consultative approach, you will work closely with your clients to uncover their needs and suggest appropriate solutions, whilst also serving as an advocate for Bloomberg within our clients as well as advocating for our clients within Bloomberg.

The Technical Account Management team are seen as senior leaders within the Enterprise Data Service Delivery organisation. You will need to be technically minded and able to articulate and appropriately frame the technical aspects of products and solutions across a variety of client roles from Developer through to the C-Suite.
We'll trust you to take ownership of some of our most critical accounts, providing best in class service as a trusted partner. Your relationships, coupled with a clear understanding of the client’s business will be leveraged to build strong partnerships, offering a technical SME skillset, thought leadership and knowledge of industry trends to solve problems and help clients’ businesses thrive. You will be trusted to manage assigned accounts effectively by; providing technical subject matter expertise across the Enterprise Data Technology product portfolio; ensuring a consistent, cohesive and comprehensive level of service delivery into your accounts; forging deep relationships across the client's technology teams within both the vertical IT and business silos (Equities, FICC, FX etc.) and horizontal functions (CTO, Architecture, Infrastructure, Sourcing etc.); and attaining a deep and extensive understanding of your client's architecture, infrastructure and application environment.
Our Technical Account Management team provide project leadership across our client engagements. You will be trusted to project-manage implementations and migrations by forming a comprehensive and cohesive plan in collaboration with the client for integration into target applications, potentially across multiple regions; lead each engagement from the front, leveraging the necessary internal resources to ensure a successful delivery of the agreed solution; and provide regular reporting both to the client and internally on project status and progression towards key milestones.
You will be trusted to partner with the account team (Sales and Product Specialists) to identify and qualify sales opportunities; work closely with our clients to understand their technical priorities and objectives and mapping Bloomberg solutions against those requirements; and provide inputs on proposed requirements for implementing and supporting new products based upon a thorough analysis of client feedback.
You’ll need to have:
- Business-level fluency in both Japanese and English
- Experience building relationships with stakeholders and establishing trust to drive meaningful interactions
- The ability to build senior client relationships and leverage those relationships to expand foot print
- Organizational skills and a self-starter mindset
- Problem solving skills, and a customer focused mind-set which enables you to consistently go the extra mile
- Excellent communication skills allowing you be clear and direct, and to set and manage expectations without miscommunication
- Experience with enterprise technology delivery
We would love to see:
- Knowledge and experience of market data tools, reporting, entitlement and administration systems.
- Technical data analysis experience and knowledge of financial market data products, delivery services, APIs and protocol technologies;
- Knowledge of Industry trends (automation, virtualization, cost optimization and innovation)
- Experience with commercial cloud providers and an understanding of how they operate.
- Awareness of trading applications and systems
- Pre-sales experience, and a commercial awareness
