What’s the Role?

As an Integration Specialist supporting our growing business, we are responsible for technical integration between our clients and Bloomberg's world-class applications. Integrations often involve crafting and deploying solutions for clients looking to integrate their systems with the Bloomberg cloud, but can also involve integrating client systems with other in-house or 3rd party source or destinations. This process requires holding technical conversations with our clients in order to build an understanding of their workflow and specific needs.

In this role, you will be responsible for client projects involving the development of data transformation middleware technology that supports both real-time and batch based processing, between the client and the Bloomberg cloud and/or other 3rd party systems. These solutions can support XML, FIX, FpML/SWIFT messaging protocols, as well as MQ, SFTP, ODBC, and various product APIs.

We’ll Trust You To:

• Design, configure, and deploy the integration of trading interfaces between Bloomberg and clients using a graph based development environment
• Consult directly with clients on any technical requirements they may have in the post-sales implementation phase in order to craft and deploy appropriate solutions
• Manage multiple integration projects simultaneously, including delivering all elements of the projects on time while collaborating with clients and key internal stakeholders such as our account management teams
• Be agile and able to re-prioritize tasks when required
• Contribute to and in some instances lead internal initiatives focused on reviewing and improving both our technology and internal processes, in order to drive efficiencies and enhance our product offerings

You'll Need to Have:

• Experience in the financial industry within the past 5 years
• Japanese fluency to confidently support and handle complex technical conversations with domestic clients
• Capital Markets knowledge with a foundational understanding of buy-side & sell-side workflows
• Demonstrated experience using some or all of the following Messaging protocols: FIX, SWIFT, MQ (e.g. IBM / Tibco / MSMQ / Sonic / JMS)
• Demonstrated experience applying Data Transformation to workflows using any ETL tools (e.g. Informatica / Mulesoft / TIBCO) or through transformation languages (e.g. XML XSLT / Perl)
• Demonstrated experience successfully managing multiple projects to meet required deliverables, including communicating progress and outcomes to relevant stakeholders
• Demonstrated experience in a role that has interacted with external customers on a daily basis, such as a technical support/consultancy or technical integration role
• Experience consulting and building detailed knowledge of the technical needs of clients, including being able to communicate on complex technical issues
• Experience communicating across multiple stakeholder groups with strong written and verbal communication skills in English

We'd Love to See:

• Experience with Web Services
• Experience with implementing industry-wide standard methodologies around public and private cloud infrastructure
• Experience with Database design and use (ETL, triggers, and stored procedures) for db (Oracle, MS SQL, Sybase, etc.)
• Knowledge of Target & Source Systems such as: Charles River, PFS, EZE Castle, FMC, SS&C, Murex, Calypso, SunGard, Custodians, etc.
