You are a seasoned journalist with a previous experience in Economics, Bonds, FX or other financial markets and keen to step up into a leadership role to drive our economics coverage for Japan and Korea based in Tokyo. You will be managing a team of reporters and editors in Japan and Korea, this is an opportunity to shape coverage of these crucial and complex economies across Bloomberg's terminal, print, radio and television platforms. You will collaborate with various teams of journalists and economists in Asia and across the world to meld detailed on-the-ground insights with global context.
With the twists and turns in the Bank of Japan's stimulus program and Abenomics moving global markets and Korea's central role in global supply chains and the tech cycle, this high-profile role offers you a chance to make a mark on one of the world's biggest stories.

You'll need to have:

• A bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
• Financial journalism experience (not limited to Economics) with proven ability to shape coverage and work effectively with others to do so
• Strong leadership and organizational skills
• Excellent editing and/or reporting skills and experience of working in a real-time environment
• Fluency in written English
