Our team is the heart of Bloomberg, providing network maintenance and continuous improvements to the infrastucture, technology and tools that we are use to support one of the largest private network.

In our APAC team, you will join a tight-knit group of engineers who are not just enthusiastic about technology, but strive to solve complex problems from analyzing packets to troubleshooting networks. You will also work closely with a talented approchable team with diverse background across APAC to collaborate with collegues around the world. As part of our weekend maintenance team, you will be critical to us as you will be at the heart of making changes before the market starts on Monday.

We'll trust you to:

• Monitor Performance, fault management and maintain our Bloomberg's production network.
• Manage Project, and support hand-on hardware/software for implementing changes in network.
• Ensure requests and updates are logged using our proprietary ticketing and network management systems.

You'll need to have:

• Experience in the Information Technology, Networking and Servers that form the Network Infrastructure.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to remain calm under pressure and multi-task.
• Accomplished troubleshooting and time management abilities.
• Practical working knowledge of TCP/IP and IP routing.
• Experience supporting the following protocols: OSPF/RIP/BGP/MPLS.
• Proficiency in building edge router configurations using Cisco or Juniper hardware.
• Network Qualification (for example: Cisco CCNA, Juniper JNCIA or equivalent).
• Server Qualification (for example: Redhat Linux).
• Ability to communicate effectively in English and Japanese.

*This position requires regular weekend coverage (Friday to Monday)
