The APAC Senior Audiovisual Engineer will have rich experience in Network Broadcast or installation / design build with complex audiovisual systems. You will have experience completing technical installations of audiovisual systems, including rack fabrication, site preparation, cable termination and calibration of audiovisual equipment. You will have the ability to manage and troubleshoot complex audio / video switching and control systems and be able to discuss examples of completed audiovisual projects and events. You will have deep domain expertise in all aspects of the audiovisual signal flow, presentation technology and event support customer service, as well as knowledge of video conferencing systems.

An uncompromising attitude towards customer service is critical. You will be working in a dynamic multi-faceted environment involving digital signage, live events, video conferencing, training room management and day to day conference room support. Strong experience as an operating technician, as well as planning and execution of live audiovisual special events is required.

You are capable of learning new systems quickly, working flexible hours and traveling up to 10% of your time.

We’ll trust you to:

• Set up and install equipment such as microphones, sound speakers, video screens, projectors, video monitors, recording equipment, connecting wires and cables, sound and mixing boards for events and functions such as concerts, sports events, meetings and conventions, presentations, and news conferences
• Set up and operate sound equipment and spotlights
• Oversee and provide direction for large scale regional projects
• Confer with meeting or concert director to establish cues and directions
• Work with the events team to ensure each and every event goes smoothly
• Create and install custom lighting systems in addition to working with computer-controlled systems
• Monitor sound feeds to ensure quality
• Test and resolve equipment issues
• Diagnose and correct media system problems
• Mix sound inputs and feeds
• Coordinate audio feeds with television images
• Send in equipment for repairs as needed
• Switch video input sources from one camera to another
• Determine filming sequences and camera movements
• Clean audiovisual equipment and store properly
• Ensure the safe transfer and shipment of equipment
• Compress, digitize, and duplicate audio and video data
• Ensure the safe storage and integrity of data
• Maintain inventory of equipment

You’ll need to have:

• Extraordinary customer service and advanced interpersonal skills
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in installation/commissioning of audiovisual systems
• Ability to setup, test, calibrate and commission equipment and devices as required to build a fully functional audiovisual system. This includes video displays, display systems, screens, cameras, switchers, scalers, processors, transmitters, receivers, interfaces, microphones, mixers, amplifiers, controls, and other active and passive devices
• Demonstrated experience with event technology support
• Proven experience leading large scale projects
• Strong technical/troubleshooting skills
• Strong computer skills (Microsoft Word, Excel, Internet, Power Point)
• Self-starting and self-motivated nature
• Ability to work collaboratively as a member of a team
• Detailed support experience with OS, IOS, Windows and Android
• Ability to respond to changes in a short time frame
• Flexibility and willingness to learn in a rapidly changing environment

We’d love to see:

• Business level proficiency in Japanese
• AMX & Crestron installation experience
• InfoComm CTS certification
• Detailed experience with Codian, Call Manager, VCSc, VCSe and Vidyo
• Strong background working with Extron, Crestron, Tandberg / Cisco and Vidyo
• Audio DSP platform certification (Examples: Biamp, ClearOne, Polycom)
• Video processing platform certification (Examples: Extron, Jupiter, Christie)
• 1 Control system platform certification (Examples: AMX, Crestron, Extron)
• Complete working knowledge of today's AV & VTC technology
